I managed to meet up the watercolour artist Fiona Peart at Patchings Art Festival in June 2013, who kindly gave me this interview. Fiona is a professional artist, painting full time, and her paintings are in private collections around the world.
As well as painting, Fiona demonstrates her painting techniques at Art Shows, exhibitions and for various art societies throughout the UK, and you can also see her on SKY TV’s Painting in Watercolour.
Fiona teaches and demonstrates in a range of different watersoluble media although mainly watercolour and acrylics, and she offers watercolour workshops in South Korea and the UK. Check out her website from the links below for dates and announcements.
She is a regular contributor to Leisure Painter magazine and is a popular author. Her first book entitled 30 minute Watercolours, was published by Harper Collins, the following were all published by Search Press: How to paint Water Colour Washes, Vibrant Flowers, Charles Rennie Mackintosh Flowers, Tulips in watercolour and Watercolour Flowers, Drawing and Painting using water Soluble Media.
Fiona is married to professional artist Terry Harrison. and lives in Bourton-on-the-Water in the Cotswolds.
