I managed to meet up with watercolour artist Terry Harrison at Patchings Art Festival in June 2013, who kindly gave me this interview. Terry is a professional artist, painting full-time, and his paintings are in private collections around the world.
In this interview Terry shares his personal story of how he became a professional artist, and gives advice and tips on the various approaches needed in order to make a sustainable living from art.
Terry has been painting for many years using watercolour and acrylics and over that time he has amassed a variety of painting techniques and skills. Terry has also developed a range of specialist brushes, watercolour and acrylic paints, is a bestselling author and well known TV personality.
Terry is married to professional artist Fiona Peart and lives in Bourton-on-the-Water in the Cotswolds.
