Taking over 180 hours to complete, The Old Fire Engine House is just around the corner from Ely Cathedral. Not only is the traditional English food served here the best in the region tempting many for miles around to come and eat here, it is also a well-known art gallery.

As the locals will tell you, this area of Ely is normally cluttered with cars and minibuses, but here I show how beautiful it can be, especially with all of the Cathedral buildings in the background. I’ve replaced the grass in front of The Old Fire Engine House with a meadow of assorted wildflowers that naturally grow in some of our local meadows to ensure my depiction is a botanically accurate as possible.

I was born in Ely in 1959, but following a heart attack in 2013, and subsequent open-heart surgery in 2015 I decided to take up drawing as a form of therapeutic recovery.

Although I originally worked in pencil on fine art paper, after my operations I found it too painful to draw using conventional techniques.I have now switched to using an iPad and Apple Pencil to create my drawings which I find easier as everything can be manipulated with my fingertips, allowing me to draw for many hours without any pain at all.

To ensure peace of mind that you own the genuine article, every limited edition fine art print of my work also includes a unique, individually numbered and personally signed Certificate of Authenticity.

All prints have the certificate which is packaged rolled up with the print inside the protective cardboard shipping tube.

My drawings are all printed using museum quality, Fine Art Trade Guild approved inks and paper which are archival quality.
